Commercial Pilot Training / Licensed Aircraft Technician School

In partnership with Fast Aviation Academy Inc. (FAST) of the Republic of Philippines, AATECH is honoured to be appointed as its representative to promote their Pilot Training, Aircraft Maintenance (AM) and Aviation Electronics (AE) Courses in Lao PDR. FAST was recently certified and recognized by the Department of Civil Aviation of Lao PDR (DCAL) as a Foreign Approved Training Organization (FATO) to provide the courses to prospective students from Lao PDR interested to get a head start in a career as a Commercial Airline Pilot.

FAST takes in and trains suitably qualified students with little or no flying experience to having all the licenses & ratings to be ready for a recruitment interview with an airline. This not only gives aspiring pilots a head-start among their peers but puts them on poll position to be selected by any airline.

FAST facilities includes an ELITE P135 flight simulator, a fleet of Cessna 152s and 172s for initial flight training. For Multi-engine and Instrument Rating training, trainees have access to their Piper Seminole and Piper Aztec.

Similarly, if your interest is learning and understanding how an airplane operates and how to maintain it; a rewarding career as a Licensed Aircraft Technician (LAT) might just be for you. Qualified LATs may also continue in their skills development through further training to be qualified as a full fledged engineer by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).

Students who graduate from FAST with a CPL, AM or AE license issued by the Civil Aviation Authority of Philippines (CAAP) are recognized by DCAL. Upon their return, Pilots and Maintenance Technicians can have their licenses re-validated by DCAL to allow them to fly or perform maintenance on aircraft operated by the two State Owned Airlines; Lao Skyway and Lao Airlines if they chose too.

CAAP and DCAL are both ICAO member countries and as such licenses issued by both authorities are recognized worldwide. This means that a qualified Pilots or Maintenance Technicians can easily find employment anywhere in the world if there are openings available subject to local employment laws.
